Job Description
* A sound knowledge of the SAR rules is required.
* Processing invoices both sales and purchase
* Checking completion statements/posting and paying them
* Process receipts, payments and transfers for client accounts
* Daily preparation and processing of payments/authorisation checks.
* Maintain accurate financial records using Proclaim and Excel
* Preparing all client to office daily transfers, and checking all entries.
* Posting of money received and paid in accordance with SAR.
* Client bank reconciliations
* Reviewing residual balances quarterly.
* Closing accounts and dealing with write offs.
* Dealing with queries
The Successful Applicant
A successful Legal Cashier should have:
* Previous experience in a similar role within professional services.
* Solid understanding of SRA accounts rules and financial compliance.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Strong numeracy skills and meticulous attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
* Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders.
