Role Overview
The Payroll & Finance Analyst will combine hands-on financial analysis with payroll coordination, providing vital support to the finance team. This is a great opportunity for a part-qualified accountant to broaden their experience and contribute to accurate and insightful financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Analyse the P&L and general ledger, identifying variances and providing actionable insights.
2. Review employee timesheets and payroll data for accuracy.
3. Collate and submit payroll information to the external payroll provider (Moorepay).
4. Assist with month-end reporting and ad hoc finance analysis.
5. Support the Finance Manager in improving processes and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
6. Collaborate closely with HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth payroll and financial processes.
Skills & Experience
7. Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or actively studying.
8. Experience or exposure to payroll, P&L, and ledger analysis.
9. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
10. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
11. Confident communicator with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
12. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
