Sail Away Magazine is growing.
What started as an independent cruise publication has evolved into one of the UK’s fastest-growing independent cruise media brands, producing print magazines, documentaries, YouTube content, podcasts, cruise news, investigations and social media content for a highly engaged global audience.
Now, we’re looking for passionate, creative and driven people to help us take things to the next level.
We are not a traditional corporate media company.
We care about storytelling, honesty, personality and creating content that cruise passengers actually want to watch and read. We believe cruise journalism should be independent, entertaining, informative and occasionally willing to challenge the industry when necessary.
We are currently looking for freelance contributors and collaborators across a number of areas, including:
• Cruise content creators
• YouTubers
• Social media managers
• Blog and article writers
• Video editors
• Cruise news researchers
• Community and audience engagement support
• Specialist cruise correspondents (luxury, solo, family, expedition, river cruising etc.)
You do not necessarily need years of professional experience.
What matters most is:
• A genuine passion for cruising and travel
• Strong storytelling instincts
• Creativity and initiative
• Understanding of YouTube and social media culture
• Reliability and professionalism
• The ability to work fast and adapt
• Personality and authenticity
We’re especially interested in hearing from:
• Smaller or emerging creators looking to grow
• People with fresh perspectives on cruising
• Individuals who feel traditional travel media has become too polished or out of touch
• People who genuinely understand online audiences and engagement
This is primarily freelance and project-based work initially, with opportunities to grow into larger long-term roles as Sail Away expands.
Remote roles are available. As a UK-based publication, we are looking for applicants from the UK that have a basic understanding of the UK cruise market.
