Team:
MKUH is looking for four or five motivated, organized, and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Healthcare Assistants. We are a friendly team that supports and encourages each other. All successful applicants must share these values.
Ward Details:
Ward 14 (Phoenix Ward) is a nurse-led ward caring for elderly male and female patients, working closely with Therapy Assistants. Ward 19 is a 28/30-bed ward caring for both male and female patients, featuring an ‘End PJ Paralysis’ programme to support patients in wearing their own clothes. Both wards have highly skilled doctors, nurses, and domestics providing holistic care and promoting independence and rehabilitation.
Requirements:
* Good communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Understanding of accurate documentation
* Caring attitude towards patients, staff, and families
* Willingness to work a variety of shifts including early, late, nights, weekdays, and weekends

Role Description:
The Healthcare Assistant supports the nursing team in delivering safe, effective care, assisting with personal care and daily activities.
Qualifications:
If you do not have an NHS Care Certificate, successful candidates will be Band 2 and must undertake the Care Certificate within the first 12 weeks. After completing a 6-month probation, you will be promoted to Band 3, subject to passing probation.
