Role Purpose
The Dealer Governance role is pivotal in working with the Dealer Support Manager to maintain an engaged and compliant dealer community in our Marketplace. You will prioritise industry‑leading policies and processes to enforce our guidelines for dealer operations, create scalable solutions to manage risks, and ensure commercial awareness across teams. Your responsibilities will include leading day‑to‑day enforcement activities, documenting procedures, and managing dealer behaviour, cancellations, and debt while keeping our operations documented and consistent. This role has a significant impact on the safety, engagement and trustworthiness of the marketplace for sellers, and supports the development of internal processes and risk matrices to operationalise Terms & Conditions.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Manage escalations and review processes through our ticketing system pertaining to dealer behaviour and conduct, proactively mitigating future occurrences and documenting outcomes.
* Support the team with initiatives to reduce dealer‑lead cancellations.
* Complete all onboarding activities for new dealers, ensuring compliance with T&Cs, Code of Conduct and regulatory requirements.
* Make well‑informed decisions with commercial considerations when sanctioning dealers, including the possibility of banning them from the platform, ensuring decisions are consistent and documented.
* Fulfil any other reasonable duties as required.
What You’ll Bring
* A passion for supporting customers and frontline operations teams.
* The ability to balance commercial awareness with compliance in decisions.
* An analytical approach, spotting trends in data and driving recommendations.
* Interest or experience in a marketplace environment.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt quickly in a fast‑paced environment.
* Comfortable liaising with stakeholders from specialist to C‑Suite level.
* A collaborative approach to problem‑solving and coordinating outcomes with multiple teams.
* Dedication to excellent customer service, showing empathy and understanding.
* Excellent communication and writing skills.
* Strong understanding of the motor industry preferred but not essential.
* Knowledge of automotive pricing systems such as CAP preferred but not essential.
* A preventive approach, spotting issues before they happen and intervening early.
* Expert knowledge of our products and processes, with an interest in driving them to success.
