As part of its continued growth, the company is looking to hire a Financial Accountant to support the creation and day-to-day running of the finance function. This is an ideal role for someone looking to develop within a dynamic environment, working closely with experienced finance leadership and gaining exposure across a broad set of responsibilities.
The Role
Working closely with the Group Controller, this role will play a key role in financial reporting, transactional processing, and internal controls, supporting the company’s ambitious growth and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Monthly Financial Accounting
* Posting journal entries and recording business transactions
* Revenue recognition for reinsurance brokerage income
* Managing accruals, prepayments, and staff expenses
* Balance sheet and income statement preparation
* Reconciliations and cash flow reporting
Operational Support
* Processing supplier payments and reconciling bank activity
* Assisting in cash flow forecasting and variance analysis
* Supporting VAT/tax submissions and regulatory returns (CASS 5)
* Helping prepare statutory accounts and audit documentation
* Assisting with process documentation and control improvements
* Collaborating cross-functionally to support financial queries and initiatives
What We’re Looking For
* Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
* Strong grasp of accounting fundamentals
* Good working knowledge of Excel and finance systems
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* A proactive, solution-oriented mindset
* Clear communicator with a collaborative approach
This will require 3 days a week in the office
