As the Capability and Transformation Director within our Connected Commerce team, you will play a pivotal role in leading our skills and capability framework. You will partner with our markets to drive vision and purpose, support organizational design recommendations, and spearhead upskilling and training initiatives through our Mars University team. Additionally, you will shape our career planning program for digital associates, ensuring they have long and fulfilling careers with Mars.
Skills and Capabilities
- Lead the fact-based framework built for skills and capabilities to shape the contract for co-creating solutions and growth levers with each market.
- Lead the Connected Commerce team to complement the Demand Team's strategic offerings.
- Measure progress, identify gaps, and escalate needs to enhance upskilling programs.
- Develop a comprehensive enterprise view of skills and capabilities across pillars.
Career Pathing
- Design and implement career pathing frameworks for various roles within the organization.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify key competencies and skills for advancement.
- Promote career development programs organization-wide through communication channels.
- Advocate for employees’ career development needs within HR and beyond.
- Devise Connected Commerce organizational design support based on skills, capabilities, and organizational size, in partnership with HR.
- Utilize the We Grow tool to foster employee development, integrating standards and gamification.
- Deploy ambassadors to drive engagement and excitement around development initiatives.
- Partner with DT and DA teams to integrate technology with organizational workflows.
- Implement gamification elements like points, badges, leaderboards, and challenges to enhance learning.
- Engage and train ambassadors for the tool’s promotion.
- Launch marketing campaigns and events to create buzz around development programs.
- Monitor engagement metrics and refine strategies for continuous improvement.
Skills and Capabilities required:
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience leading process and organizational structure in project management.
- Good understanding of digital and commerce, with experience working with agencies and e-commerce teams in the US & EU.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams indirectly.
- HR experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively across global, cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects globally.
