What You'll Do
* Manage and lead a growing and business-critical team of product designers
* Mentoring individual contributors
* Inspire, empower and motivate designers to do the best work of their career. Help build a successful team by mentoring, coaching, and elevating others
* Continuous collaboration and process improvement with Design, Design Operations, Content, Research, Engineering, Product, and Business teams throughout the product life cycles
* Distill complex problems into digestible steps, and communicate proactively
* Contribute to the larger design team culture
Reporting
This position reports to the Director, Product Design.
Qualifications
* 8+ years of experience in Product Design. The ideal candidate has 2+ years experience in leading a product design team
* Experience leading and scaling a team in a rapidly scaling complex organization
* People-focused, critical and strategic analytical thinker
* Proactive and clear communicator with excellent analytical skills, facilitation, and organizational understanding
* Successful track record of building and managing impactful, collaborative product design teams
* Experience facilitating design thinking workshops with cross-functional teams
* Highly collaborative and relentlessly customer-focused
* Experience managing remote, geographically distributed teams is a plus.
* Deep thinker and natural communicator who can tell compelling stories that inspire action
