This role is ideal for someone passionate about contributing to the happiness and confidence of children, ensuring they develop an excellent skill set for future learning.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Contribute to the provision of a full and balanced range of learning activities for children from 8 months upwards.
* Ensure the care and well-being of children while maintaining positive links with parents and professionals associated with the nursery and school.
* Plan and implement effective activities suitable for all abilities, ensuring an inclusive environment.
* Observe, monitor, and provide constructive feedback on children’s progress.
* Engage with parents and carers sensitively and effectively, supporting their involvement in the children’s learning.
* Provide necessary personal care to children and support their emotional and developmental needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Essential:
* A full and relevant Nursery Assistant qualification such as NVQ Level 2, CCLD, NNEB, CACHE, or equivalent.
* Proven experience in an Early Years setting.
* Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and experience working with children with additional needs.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
* NVQ Level 2/3.
* First Aid Certificate.
* Experience working with outside agencies and previous experience in a similar role.
