About The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at Sedgley Court, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our care. Every single person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. By joining us, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give back to those people.
In this role, you will plan and implement care that provides our residents with security, dignity, and independence. You will get to know our residents and their families, helping to deliver personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of care and influencing your team positively. Your duties include assisting residents with daily activities, supporting end-of-life care, communicating with families, and providing social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication.
One of your key responsibilities is to maintain accurate records and build strong team relationships.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know the appropriate actions to take. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and to undertake additional training as needed. You should also be able to seek advice and escalate concerns when necessary.
