Maths Teacher Required - Wigan
Your new companyYour new school is a large secondary school with academy status located in central Wigan. The school is coeducational and caters for pupils aged 11-16. The school has consistently been graded as good in all areas by OFSTED and, as a result, has established an excellent reputation in the local community. There is an extremely supportive senior leadership team throughout the school with a clear vision towards achieving outstanding. Your new roleJoining a high-achieving department, you will be responsible for teaching Maths to KS3 and KS4. The role is to commence as soon as possible and will operate, full-time, on a temporary basis as soon as possible. As the role is long-term, you will be required to plan and prepare all lessons whilst differentiating between pupil ability. You will also be required to mark and assess all work, ensuring that pupils are progressing in line with their target grades.
What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in securing this position, it is essential that you hold a teaching qualification such as QTS, QTLS or PGCE and have experience of teaching Maths in KS3 and KS4. You must be able to commence the role immediately and be able to commit to the full duration of the assignment.
