Job Title: Health Improvement Lead
Location: Dorset (travel across county required)

About the role
We’re passionate about supporting individuals who face complex issues, including substance misuse, mental ill health, and other harmful, addictive or offending behaviours, to improve their lives. We now have an exciting opportunity to join the Reach Team in Dorset as a Health Improvement Lead.
Role focus: As a Health Improvement Lead, you will:
* Manage the day-to-day functioning and performance of a designated service team, creating a positive working environment and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
* Provide specialist health improvement support, including working with the Avon & Wiltshire Partnership clinical teams on community alcohol detoxes, carrying out home visits and offering follow-on support.
* Lead harm minimisation initiatives across the county, encouraging safer practices to reduce the impact of substance use on individuals and communities.
* Contribute to the Hepatitis C Elimination programme and other key health improvement projects.
* Motivate and support service users throughout their recovery journey, from harm reduction through to structured treatment and recovery programmes.
* Confidently deliver training and presentations to a range of audiences, including partner agencies and professionals.
What we’re looking for
* Has experience in managing or leading within health or social care services.
* Understands the complexities of substance misuse, mental ill health and related behaviours.
* Is confident in delivering presentations and training to groups.
* Is motivated, resilient, and passionate about empowering individuals to make positive changes in their lives.
* Holds a full driving licence and has access to their own vehicle (use of a project mini-bus is also part of the role).
You’ll be expected to work flexibly across Dorset and attend our main hubs in Weymouth, Gillingham and Wimborne.
