Overview
Fuel Recruitment is working with a leading telecoms infrastructure provider seeking an experienced Test, Rod & Rope / Cabling Engineer. This role involves preparing underground and overhead routes for fibre installation, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards. You'll play a key part in supporting fibre deployment across major networks.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out duct rodding, roping, and integrity testing
* Install draw ropes and sub-ducts for cabling
* Assist with overhead route preparation and cabling activities
* Record test results and report any defects
* Operate winching and rodding equipment safely
* Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles to high standards
Key Skills / Experience
* Proven experience in telecoms cabling or duct testing
* Full UK driving licence
* NRSWA accreditation
* Ability to work outdoors and undertake manual tasks
* Confined Space and First Aid certifications
* Familiarity with Openreach, VM02, or CityFibre networks
* MEWP or Pole Climbing certification (desirable)
