The Opportunity:
SRUC is seeking an experienced administrator to be a member of a dynamic and flexible administration team supporting both student-facing and research-related activities within the School of Veterinary Medicine and Biosciences. This varied role involves delivering high-quality administrative support across key areas such as timetabling, student records, finance, research support, and event coordination.
You'll work closely with the School Manager and academic staff to ensure smooth operations, excellent service delivery, and continuous improvement of administrative processes. The role offers the opportunity to develop specialist expertise and contribute to the school's overall effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Supporting student enrolment, timetabling, assessments, and graduation
Handling finance tasks including invoicing and payments
Assisting with research activity and grant applications
Managing correspondence, records, and databases
Coordinating meetings, travel, and events
Providing front-of-house service and responding to queries

Minimum Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should be educated to SCQF Level 4 at a minimum and have demonstrable experience of working within a varied administrative role. Applicants should have good communication skills, and a comprehensive knowledge of IT software (particularly Microsoft Office and databases).
Eligibility for Sponsorship:
This role is not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route. If you are a migrant worker, you will need to ensure you have an appropriate visa to evidence the necessary right to work in the UK.
