Introduction
Our client practice has an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified or experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their supportive and welcoming team. Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. The rota includes 1 in 4 weekends, with no out-of-hours or overnight inpatient checks, ensuring an excellent work–life balance.
Role Description
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to utilise their nursing skills to the fullest. Duties include admitting patients, monitoring anaesthetics, supporting surgical procedures, patient recovery, discharging patients, and delivering excellent client care. You will be supported by a team of ANA staff and an SVN to assist with theatre turnover and patient preparation. Whether newly qualified or experienced, the role offers great exposure to a variety of cases and opportunities to develop clinical interests, including advanced procedures offered on-site.
Team Size
Our client’s team includes 3 Vets, 4 RVNs, 1 SVN, 2 VCAs, and a friendly front-of-house team who all work collaboratively to provide a supportive and uplifting working environment.
Practice Details
Our client’s RCVS-accredited, fully air-conditioned surgery is located on a vibrant retail park with excellent local amenities. The area boasts great transport links and easy access to the beach, motorway routes, and regional airports. The purpose-built facilities include separate dog, cat, and exotic wards, alongside advanced services such as in-house dermatology and laparoscopy. The practice offers modern diagnostic and surgical equipment, three consulting rooms, a large treatment area, and the support of a peripatetic orthopaedic service.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal applicant will be cheerful, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering high standards of patient and client care. You should possess solid general nursing experience, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for animal welfare.
