Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.**Job Title:** Project Coordinator**Salary:** £33,800 rising to £37,500 when role objectives are reached**Contract**: Full time & fixed term contract - 20 Months**Hours:** Monday to Thursday 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM & Friday 7:30 AM - 11:00 AM**Location:** Desford, Leicestershire**The Opportunity:**As a Project Coordinator, you will work closely with Manufacturing Engineering project leads and cross‐functional teams to support the successful delivery of projects across factory operations. The role focuses on planning, coordination, progress tracking, and stakeholder engagement to help ensure projects are delivered efficiently and on time.This is a strong development opportunity for someone with experience in an operational or manufacturing environment who brings a structured, organised approach and is keen to build coordination and project skills while contributing to continuous improvement across the site.**What you will do:**As a **Project Coordinator**, you are accountable for, but not limited to:* Supporting project delivery by organising meetings, scheduling activities, coordinating resources, and maintaining accurate project and portfolio records.* Tracking project progress, milestones, costs, and risks using tools such as Microsoft Planner or Project, highlighting variances and issues to Project Leads.* Supporting change control by logging scope changes, assessing impacts, and maintaining version control of project documentation.* Communicating updates, actions, and decisions clearly to internal teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and timely follow‐up.* Capturing, tracking, and closing actions to support accountability and delivery.* Contributing to continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and helping improve tools, reporting, and ways of working.**NB. Brings a structured approach informed by project management principles and an understanding of how workflows in an operational environment.* **Progress Tracking:** Tracks milestones, costs, and commitments using tools such as Microsoft Planner or Project, identifying risks, changes, and variances to support timely and informed decisions.* **Stakeholder Communication:** Communicates clearly and confidently with cross‐functional teams, sharing updates, documenting decisions and actions, and adapting communication style to suit different audiences.* **Process Improvement:** Uses project data and reporting (e.g. Excel, Power BI) to identify inefficiencies, prioritise workload, and support improvements to processes, tools, and ways of working, with a proactive and solutions‐focused mindset.**What You May Have:*** Comfortable using project planning and tracking tools (e.g. Microsoft Planner, Project, Power BI) to support visibility and reporting.* Understands how manufacturing or production environments operate and how projects interact with day‐to‐day factory activity.* Familiarity with basic project or continuous‐improvement principles (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, Waterfall) and how they support structured delivery.* Shows curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to build capability in project coordination, data handling, and process improvement.**Pending the number of applications, the criteria for the position may be enhanced to facilitate shortlisting.****Just a quick heads-up:** We start reviewing applications as soon as they come in, so if you’re interested, don’t wait too long!
