About The Role
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, someone who is able to drive kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every single person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. By joining HC-One, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.
As an Activities Co-ordinator, your responsibilities will include planning and implementing activities that delight our residents, helping the Home Manager organise fundraising events, and encouraging residents' social confidence and hobbies. You will do so with a sense of kindness above all else.
What We're Looking For
We seek someone with a background working with vulnerable individuals, ideally developing activity programmes. Beyond that, it’s about your positive energy, ability to get along with people, planning, organisational, and IT skills, and effective time management. When communicating with residents or colleagues, kindness and consideration are essential.
Safeguarding
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You should be able to recognise signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and know the appropriate actions to take. All colleagues must attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and undertake additional training as needed. You should also be able to seek advice and report concerns, including escalation if necessary.
Benefits and Support
We’ll provide full training and support your development. In return, you will enjoy a wide range of benefits including:
* Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications
* Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG
* Free uniform
* Nutritious meals during shifts of eight hours or more
* Company pension scheme
* 28 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays
* Group life assurance cover
* Wagestream for flexible pay access
* Learning and development opportunities with support to achieve qualifications
* GP online service for you and your children under 16
* Learning from experienced colleagues within a supportive team
* Colleague discounts at over 1600 high street stores
* Free access to Employee Assistance Programme for physical, mental, and financial support
* Recognition schemes such as ‘Kindness in Care’ and Long Service Awards
* Refer a friend scheme of up to £1000 per referral
We are committed to inclusivity and ensuring our workforce reflects the communities we serve. We invite applicants from all backgrounds and aim for a swift onboarding process.
