Responsible for handling over 90% of TMUK's vehicle welding, advanced robotic workers operate with speed and accuracy to perform tasks such as component attachment and precise customizations, providing strength and rigidity to every Toyota Corolla passing through the factory.
What does a day-to-day look like for a maintenance technician in the body department?
As a maintenance technician, you will be responsible for maintaining various PLC-controlled robotics, including the largest robot in the factory, Godzilla.
Further responsibilities include:
* Reacting to breakdowns
* Swapping components like for like
What does the body shop look for in a candidate?

- Strong multi-skilled experience
- Experience with fluid power systems (desirable)
- Understanding of electrical safety practices
- Understanding of robotic principles
- Willingness to work across a three-shift pattern, including nights
- Flexibility for occasional overtime shifts
