Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Caretaker with some maintenance experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both electrical and mechanical systems. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
* Conduct regular maintenance checks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
* Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues as they arise and repair where able to.
* Be compliant and able to oversee the safe compliance of the cottages.
* Read and interpret schematics to diagnose problems accurately.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
* Collaborate with residents to ensure minimal disruption to operations during maintenance activities.
* Implement preventive maintenance programmes to reduce downtime and enhance productivity.
* Provide exceptional customer service by addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
Experience
* Proven experience in a similar caretaking/maintenance role, demonstrating strong knowledge.
* Familiarity with electrical systems
* Decision making skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are required for effective collaboration.
* A solid understanding of health and safety regulations related to maintenance work is crucial.
