Role Purpose
* Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for UI, API, and integration testing.
* Build and enhance automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).
* Develop reusable automation components and utilities.
* Analyse user stories and acceptance criteria to determine automation scope.
* Identify and prioritise scenarios suitable for automation.
* Execute automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines.
* Participate in sprint ceremonies to advocate for quality and testability.
* Conduct root cause analysis for defects and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
* Validate application reliability, performance, and compatibility across environments.
* Integrate test automation into CI/CD systems (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
* Monitor pipeline execution and address failures or flaky tests.
* Document automation frameworks, approaches, and test cases.
* Produce clear, concise defect reports with supporting evidence.
* Communicate test progress, coverage, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
* Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium.
* Experience with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, Karate).
* Familiarity with BDD/TDD practices and tools like Cucumber or SpecFlow.
* Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
* Knowledge of Git and branching strategies.
* Experience with cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP) and containerised systems (Docker/Kubernetes) is desirable.
* Good understanding of Atlassian Datacentre tooling
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability.
* Effective communication and collaboration skills.
* High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
* Ability to work effectively within Agile/Scrum teams.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
* Typically 2–5+ years in automation testing roles.
