Production Operative | Newtownards | Shiftwork | £16 - £18 per hour (plus OT)
Staffline is currently seeking production operatives to join our client, a leading dairy manufacturer, on a long-term temporary basis at their site in Newtownards.
Role:
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient running of various production lines on a rotational basis.
Duties:
1. Keeping production lines running.
2. Calibrating/programming machinery.
3. Conducting quality checks.
4. Checking products for defects.
5. Preparing of goods for dispatch.
6. Reporting breakdowns, spillages, etc.
7. Forklift driving (if/when qualified).
Criteria:
8. Flexible to work shifts.
9. Previous warehouse/production experience preferred.
10. Counterbalance forklift licence or willing to obtain one when in the post.
Hours of work:
11. Long week = 46 hours per week (4 days)
12. Short week = hours per week (3 days)
13. Rotational shifts from 6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am.
Rate of pay:
14. £16 per hour (rising to £ after training)
15. Overtime paid after 37 hours.
