An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a senior audit professional to join a high-performing internal audit function within a leading global financial services group. This is a strategically important role, positioned within the investment management audit team, where the successful candidate will play a key part in the delivery of complex, risk-focused audits—particularly across private markets and alternative investments.
The role sits within a well-resourced and respected internal audit department, recognised for excellence through regular independent assessments. Working closely with the Audit Director, the successful candidate will lead audits across a growing and evolving business area, with increasing focus on private markets. Importantly, this role is viewed as a succession pipeline for more senior leadership, with the potential for board and committee exposure and access to an 18-month executive coaching programme designed for future leaders.
Candidates will need to demonstrate experience leading complex audits within asset management, ideally alternatives/private markets, and bring a strong understanding of risk, control and governance frameworks. Strong communication skills, stakeholder management capability and comfort engaging with executive-level audiences are all essential.
Professional qualifications (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIIA) are welcomed, and experience using data analytics and artificial intelligence is an advantage. The team fosters a collaborative, low-ego culture and values a hands-on, pragmatic approach. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to step into a senior role with high visibility and long-term potential.
If you’re looking to be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking audit team and play a pivotal role in a growing business area, this opportunity is one not to miss.
We seek individuals from a diverse talent pool and encourage applicants from underrepresented groups to apply to our vacancies. Our commitment to fair recruitment processes means that we welcome applicants from all backgrounds, regardless of their lived experience or personal characteristics.
