Deputy Ward Manager - Mental Health Nurse
Join our Blackheath Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre in South East London as a Deputy Ward Manager - Mental Health Nurse. We are a leading provider of specialist inpatient rehabilitation for individuals with acquired brain injuries or complex neurological conditions. Our goal is to ensure our residents feel safe, happy, and empowered.
Working Hours
We offer flexible scheduling, with a total of 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis, including days and nights.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strong clinical leadership to the nursing team.
* Promote respect and advocacy for all patients.
* Participate actively in the multidisciplinary team, formulating care plans and utilizing appropriate assessments.
* Liaise effectively with the MDT to assess and manage risks.
* Review risk factors regularly and work with the MDT to modify care plans as needed.
* Act as the primary nurse for inpatient stays.
* Ensure clinical practice is evidence-based and aligns with NICE guidelines and company policies.
* Undertake clinical supervision to develop competence and practice.
* Mentor/support students and support workers as appropriate.
* Supervise junior staff in executing care plans.
* Provide effective supervision and support to the nursing team each shift.
* Participate in clinical audits, risk management, and incident reporting.
Qualifications
* Current NMC Pin (RMN)
* Legal right to work in the UK
