Project Manager We are seeking a Project Manager attrainee,juniororexperiencedlevel to join our Leeds team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start, develop, or progress a career in project management within the environmental and water monitoring sector. You will work closely with the Operations Director and wider team to support the successful delivery of projects. Depending on your experience, you will be given structured training, mentoring, and increasing responsibility over time, with clear progression opportunities as your skills develop. As a Project Manager at SOCOTEC, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget, while building strong relationships with our clients and internal teams. This is a hybrid role, combining office-based work in Leeds, site visits, and home working, depending on project requirements and experience level. Key Responsibilities Support the safe, timely, and successful delivery of projects to a high standard of client satisfaction Assist with or manage end-to-end project delivery, including planning, scheduling, procurement, site works, equipment, subcontractors, and people management (depending on experience) Work with senior team members to balance long-term maintenance projects and short-notice works Provide day-to-day support to site teams and help resolve operational issues Prepare and coordinate project documentation for field crews and workshop teams, with guidance where required Assist in sourcing and coordinating approved subcontractors Review site data and documentation to ensure accuracy and quality Support project financial tracking, including invoicing and cost control, with training provided Communicate professionally with clients and respond to enquiries Attend client meetings and site visits alongside senior colleagues to understand requirements and develop proposals Build and develop positive working relationships with clients and internal teams Identify opportunities to add value for clients and support business growth Take part in weekly resource planning and team coordination meetings (This role will be tailored to suit your experience level, with responsibilities increasing as you develop.) What We're Looking For Essential Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK Strong organisational skills and willingness to learn Good communication skills and a professional approach to clients and colleagues Basic IT skills, including Word, Excel, and web-based systems Awareness of health & safety practices (training provided where required) Experience (flexible) Trainee / Junior: An interest in project management Relevant education, placements, or early career experience welcomed Experienced Project Managers: Experience managing multiple projects at different lifecycle stages Commercial awareness and client-facing experience Desirable (not essential) IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications Experience in environmental services or the water industry Experience working in or around confined space operations About SOCOTEC Flow & Water Quality Monitoring We provide market leading environmental data collection and monitoring services.
