Job Title Product Manager Job Description The ERP Finance Product Manager is responsible for defining, developing, and managing the full lifecycle of the organization's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) finance and accounting modules. This role ensures that financial systems align with business needs, regulatory requirements, and overall company strategy, acting as the subject matter expert bridging the gap between finance stakeholders and technical teams. This is a hybrid position - working 3 days a week from our Winnersh office. Key Responsibilities • Product Strategy and Vision: Define and execute the product vision and roadmap for all finance-related ERP modules (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Treasury, Financial Reporting). • Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate closely with finance teams, accounting professionals, and other stakeholders to understand business processes, identify inefficiencies, and translate complex financial needs into clear, detailed technical requirements and epics. • System Design & Implementation: Work with engineering and development teams to design, configure, test, and implement ERP solutions and enhancements, ensuring they meet functional requirements and integrate seamlessly with other systems. • Project and Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and ongoing maintenance, including project planning, scope definition, resource allocation, and budget management. • Stakeholder Management & Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for all finance-related ERP matters, ensuring effective communication and alignment across technical and non-technical, cross-functional, and global teams. • Data Integrity & Reporting: Own the integrity of financial data within the ERP, ensuring accuracy and reconciliation for financial reporting and compliance. Use data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel) to monitor product performance and derive actionable insights. • Training & Support: Develop and provide training and documentation to end-users to ensure smooth adoption of new systems or features and optimal utilization. • Vendor Management: Liaise and negotiate with external ERP software vendors and third-party partners to influence their roadmaps and ensure timely service delivery and support. Experience: • 5 years of experience in ERP product management, business analysis, or project management, with a focus on finance or accounting operations. • Hands-on experience with specific ERP software Sage X3 (preferred) or others like Acumatica, Epicor, IFS, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics etc. • Proven track record of managing full lifecycle implementations of complex ERP projects is a plus • Proven track record of managing full product lifecycle to deliver Finance capabilities for an ERP is a plus • Knowledge of global legal compliance requirements is preferred, especially in Europe and North America Required Qualification and skills: • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field is required; an MBA or CPA is a plus. Technical & Functional Skills: • Deep understanding of financial workflows, accounting methodologies, and internal controls design. • Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe) and backlog management. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Soft Skills: • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. • Strong leadership capabilities and experience working in a cross-functional, often global, environment. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
