A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced HV Commissioning Engineer to join a major transmission infrastructure programme, initially supporting SSEN projects before moving onto SPEN frameworks.

💰 £700–£850 per day (Outside IR35, All-In)
🚀 Immediate Start Available
⏰ Monday–Friday (10-hour days, early finish Fridays) + optional weekend work
Key Responsibilities
* Lead commissioning activities on HV/EHV substations (132kV–400kV)
* Carry out protection, control and SCADA testing
* Develop commissioning procedures and test documentation
* Support energisation, handover and project delivery
* Ensure compliance with SSEN/SPEN safety standards
Requirements
âś” SSEN or SPEN Authorisation
✔SSE Cat 1 & Cat 3 Authorisation
âś” Proven HV/EHV substation commissioning experience
âś” Strong knowledge of protection relays, control systems and SCADA
âś” Experience working under UK DNO/TSO safety rules
