This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high quality patient care by providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to our clinical teams. Please note this position is office based and interviews will be face to face. Main duties of the job Provide a full secretarial service to consultants and clinical staff, including audio typing. typing of medical correspondence and reports. Manage consultant diaries and coordinate outpatient clinics, on call rotas and support multidisciplinary meetings when required. Act as a key point of contract for patients, carers, families and external agencies handling sensitive information with discretion and empathy. Maintain accurate patient records using NHS Wales systems Handle telephone enquires and ensure timely communication across department. Monitor turnaround times for clinical documentation and ensure compliance with service standards. Support the team with general administration tasks including filing, scanning and data entry Support service improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of administrative processes.
