Medical Education Fellow – NHS Highland
Location: UHI House, Raigmore Hospital Campus, Inverness
Hours per week: 40 hours
Salary: £47,438 - £62,758 per annum pro rata
Contract: 12‑month fixed‑term contract starting August 2026
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, deliver and assess undergraduate teaching for NHS Highland.
* Collaborate with the universities sending students to NHS Highland to align the curriculum.
* Provide clinical teaching sessions (up to two per week) and conduct educational research or development activities.
* Serve on the Highland Medical Education Centre/Clinical Skills Centre team.
* Support the undertaking of a postgraduate qualification in Medical Education (e.g. PG Certificate).
Qualifications and Experience
* Fully registered medical practitioner with keen interest in medical education.
* Typically in specialty training with an NTN (other applicants may be considered).
* Experience or knowledge of teaching in an NHS setting is essential.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
