We are looking to recruit an part-time Healthcare Assistant to join our nursing team. Working 20-24 hours per week at Central Surgery in Barton-upon-Humber and our branch surgery in Goxhill.
Our team consists of 5 partners, 4 salaried GP's, ANP's, ACP's,Practice Nurses, HCA's and Pharmacists, along with supportive reception andadmin teams.
The Surgery is committed to the ongoing development of all ourstaff and are proud to be a training practice to GP registrars and medicalstudents, working with Hull and York Medical School.
Main duties of the job
Working under the direct supervision of our lead nurse you will support the clinical team and provide direct patient care.
Within your own clinic you will provide services including but not limited to;
* blood pressure monitoring
* recording of patient observations
* ECG's
* Diabetic Foot Checks

Job responsibilities
Main duties and responsibilities:
* New patient health checks
* ECG recording
* Chaperoning
* Diabetic foot checks
* Samples
* Supporting the nursing team with various health promotion programmes
* Monitoring and stocking of clinical rooms
* Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs / nurses
* Sterilising, cleaning and maintenance of surgical equipment
* Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording
* Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during andafter patient care interventions
This list is not exhaustive and all duties are subject to appropriate training and under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.

Qualifications
* Completion of the HCA Care Certificate
* Immunisation and Vaccination certification
Experience
* Experience of working with the general public
* Experience of working in a healthcare setting
* Experience of working as a HCA in a GP Practice
