Job description
Introduction
Our client, a leading company in the rail industry, is currently seeking a DPE to join their team in Birmingham on a contract basis. They are looking for a DPE who can demonstrate really good experience in integrating multi-discipline infrastructure projects. Working alongside our interface and construction management teams, they will be responsible for ensuring that the Engineering Assurance from an Asset Protection point of view is undertaken in a timely manner and to liaise closely with the DPE from responsible for the Rail Systems project which will sit on the HS2 constructed infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
1. Undertake project engineering activities, ensuring quality and compliance with relevant standards and regulations
2. Contribute to project planning, monitoring progress, and managing risks and issues
3. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects
4. Prepare engineering documents and reports
5. Monitor and control project costs and budgets
6. Provide technical support to the project team
7. Conduct site visits and inspections as required
8. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in rail engineering
Job Requirements
9. Significant experience in project engineering within the rail sector
10. Proficient in project management principles and methodologies
11. Strong knowledge of relevant standards and regulations
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
13. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
14. Highly organized with strong attention to detail
15. Flexible and adaptable to meet project requirements
16. Experience with engineering software and tools
