Maths Tutor
Thrive Education Group are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maths Tutor to work with secondary-aged students, including those in mainstream education and students with Special Educational Needs. This hourly based role is a flexible, daytime role designed to fit around the tutor's availability, making it ideal for professionals seeking work-life balance or supplementary income.
Key Responsibilities as a Maths Tutor
Deliver engaging, tailored maths tuition to secondary school students
Support both mainstream learners and students with SEND, adapting teaching methods as needed
Assess student progress and adjust lesson plans to meet individual learning goals
Build positive, supportive relationships that encourage confidence and academic growth
Maintain clear communication with parents, carers, and/or education providers where required
Requirements of a Maths Tutor
Proven experience teaching or tutoring Maths at secondary level
Strong understanding of the UK Maths curriculum
Experience working with SEND students is highly desirable
Ability to differentiate instruction to suit a range of abilities
Patient, adaptable, and passionate about education
Relevant qualifications (e.g. degree in Maths or related field, teaching qualification) are preferred but not essential with strong experience
