The Opportunity
You will join a dynamic team that includes planners, surveyors and architects, working across a wide range of residential, commercial and leisure development projects. With a strong focus on strategic planning and land promotion, this role offers the chance to influence team direction, support business growth, and contribute to a well‑respected planning function known for its professionalism and high standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of planning consultants.
* Oversee and support complex planning applications.
* Coordinate and respond to development plan consultations.
* Provide clear, commercially driven planning advice to clients and colleagues.
* Identify and secure new business opportunities, building strong and lasting client relationships.
* Foster a positive, motivated and high‑performing team environment.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a highly capable and motivated planning professional who can demonstrate:
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
* Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
* Experience in development management, EIA and development plans.
* Commercial awareness, including the ability to identify and secure new opportunities.
* Confidence in networking and building trusted, long‑term client relationships.
