Hours: 37.5 hours per week – Office based 5 days a week

Healthcare Central London Ltd (HCL) is a federation of 32 General Practices across four Primary Care Networks in Westminster, caring for over 275,000 registered patients. Role Summary
The Business Support Officer will provide high-quality administrative and organisational support to Healthcare Central London (HCL), with a particular focus on supporting Primary Care Networks (PCNs) and corporate functions. Working closely with the Executive Assistant and wider teams, the post holder will support the smooth day-to-day running of the office, coordination of meetings, communications, and stakeholder engagement.
This role is well suited to someone looking to develop a career in business or office administration within a fast-paced healthcare environment, offering exposure to senior leaders, PCN activity, and the wider NHS system.
Role Requirements and Responsibilities
General Office and Administrative Support
Provide day-to-day administrative support to ensure the efficient running of the office
Manage shared email inboxes, responding to queries professionally and signposting as appropriate
Answer and redirect phone calls and voicemails in a timely manner
Maintain electronic filing systems, shared folders, and accurate records
Prepare documents, letters, agendas, presentations, and basic reports
Order office supplies, maintain stock levels, and support general office housekeeping
Ensure adherence to organisational policies, data protection, and confidentiality requirements
Executive Assistant & Senior Leadership Support
Provide direct administrative support to the Executive Assistant and senior staff
Support diary coordination, scheduling meetings, and sending calendar invitations
Prepare and circulate meeting papers and packs
Attend meetings and take accurate, clear, and timely minutes (essential)
Produce action logs and follow up on actions where required
Coordinate meeting logistics, including room bookings and virtual meeting set-up
Support the organisation of corporate events, conferences, and engagement sessions
PCN and Corporate Team Support
Provide administrative support for PCN-related activities, projects, and programmes
Liaise with GP practices, internal teams, and external stakeholders including NHS and local authority partners
Support coordination of services, audits, and compliance processes as required
Assist with maintaining databases and information systems
Support data collection, surveys, and the collation of results for reporting purposes
Assist with ad-hoc projects to support service delivery and operational improvement
Communications and Engagement
Support internal and external communications relating to PCNs and corporate activity
Assist with drafting, formatting, and distributing emails, newsletters, and updates
Maintain contact lists and distribution groups
Support updates to internal and external communication platforms, including intranet and website content (training provided)Coordinate and support the production of regular organisational communications
Qualifications and Experience Previous experience in an office or administrative role
Ability to take accurate, well-structured meeting minutes
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Professional, polite, and helpful approach
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Discreet and able to handle confidential information appropriately
Willingness to learn and take direction

Experience within a healthcare, NHS, or PCN environment
