Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Primary Behaviour Support Assistant to join one of our partner primary schools in Doncaster. The Role
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs across the primary age range.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils, implementing tailored behaviour strategies in line with individual support plans.
* Working collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to promote a consistent and nurturing approach to behaviour management.
* Supporting pupils in developing emotional regulation, resilience, and confidence within the classroom and during unstructured times.
* Using positive behaviour management and de-escalation strategies to maintain a calm and inclusive learning environment.
* Contributing to the wider school community by modelling patience, empathy, and professionalism at all times.

About You
The ideal candidate will:
* Have prior experience supporting children with behavioural, emotional, or mental health needs (experience in education, youth work, or care settings is advantageous).
* Demonstrate a calm, patient, and consistent approach when supporting pupils who may display challenging behaviours.
* Be confident in implementing positive behaviour interventions and restorative practices.
* Possess strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with pupils and colleagues.
* Hold or be willing to apply for an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS certificate.
