West 1 is a 20-bedded acute trauma ward. We look after a variety of patients, including direct transfers from A&E, transfers from other trauma wards, step-down from the polytrauma unit, and overnight stays. Our patient care includes those pre- and post-operative with varied injuries.
As a deputy manager, you will assist the ward manager in the day-to-day running of the ward, including managing attendance, completing off-duty, audits, and coordinating ward activities.
There are opportunities as a band 6 to participate in the band 6 Professional Nurse Forum (PNF), sharing ideas and knowledge with other trauma wards. You will receive support to progress your career and be involved in change management and service improvement initiatives.
Your clinical role will involve leading patient care, supporting the ward manager, managing attendance, completing audits, and supporting change initiatives.
We are seeking an experienced nurse who can demonstrate the essential criteria. It is crucial that the successful candidate can inspire and motivate others.
