As part of our journey in bringing our teams together and deliver our corporate plan we have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Manager – Major Works Projects, to join our Property Maintenance & Technical Assurance Team on a permanent basis.
The role
You will lead specialist project teams to deliver a pipeline of customer centric, high quality, value for money building safety and remediation projects. The delivery will be through a mixture of an in-house workforce and contractors and may also use external consultants to assist with specification, design and delivery.
You'll ensure that all works are undertaken in a competent and safe manner with our customers at the centre of everything we do. Ensure that SNG meets its commitments to monitor performance and evidence delivery relating to all regulatory and legislative obligations. Responsible for ensuring all elements are managed and controlled within agreed budgets and timescales.
As a senior manager you will manage the Project Team with a focus on articulating a clear vision, providing direction, and fostering a culture of accountability, high performance, and continuous improvement.
Knowledge & Skills
We are looking for some one who has:
* Experience of leading a team in delivering complex compliance/safety projects, with a high knowledge of compliance requirements.
* Knowledge of relevant health, safety and environmental legislation with focus on compliance within all activities undertaken by the team.
* Knowledge and experience of managing subcontractors strategically and operationally.
* Excellent demonstratable knowledge of programme development and performance improvement in a social housing environment.
* Ability to plan, track and forecast income and expenditure against relevant budgets, to deliver a value for money service whilst taking actions to mitigate any risks.
* Demonstrable strategic thinking, commercial acumen and values driven behaviours and the ability to fulfil corporate plans and strategies at both a local and organisation wide level.
