SALARY: £76,194 - £89,640

HOURS: Full-time

About this opportunity
The Personalised Experiences and Communications (PEC) platform, part of the Chief Digital Office, plays a key role in delivering the Group Personalisation strategy. The Customer Intelligence Lab is responsible for the data and capabilities that power our personalisation and communications technologies, as well as the models and insights behind our marketing activity.
We’re seeking a Senior Product Owner to join our lab, to lead the delivery of Customer Interactions Data Solutions and Products. This product team provides vital real‑time behavioural and interactions capabilities, and customer data and insight across all channels. Leveraging this data is essential to enabling hyper‑personalised interactions and strengthening our AI‑driven understanding of customer behaviour.
This role requires a customer‑centric, proactive, and collaborative approach, offering an excellent opportunity to lead a talented, innovative team working at the forefront of data‑driven customer engagement.
As our Senior Product Owner you’ll
1. Define the overall product vision and roadmap for the team, working with the lab product manager on aligning it to the group strategy.
2. Be accountable for the backlog of epics that achieve the vision and meet our customer needs.
3. Lead a team of product owners and analysts to define the features and user stories of the epics.
4. Support delivery of the backlog through daily stand‑ups and lead refinement sessions and retrospectives.
5. Promote the creation of intuitive prototypes and MVPs, and work with the team to grow their understanding of AI and future capability.
6. Partner with Customer Journey Managers to drive journey improvements and encourage customer centricity across the team.
7. Collaborate with Integrators for large‑scale or complex changes and to manage critical dependencies and risks.
8. Define the OKRs for the team and lead and coach them to achieve their objectives and grow in their roles.
9. Work with the lab lead and senior product team on lab strategy and leadership initiatives. Deputise on occasion for the lab PO.

What you’ll need
10. Demonstrated experience as a Senior Product Owner, leading on product vision, roadmap and backlog.
11. Advanced understanding of data and data products, preferably in interactions and behavioural data.
12. Experience of bringing customer thinking together with data-driven thinking and articulating how both can influence and benefit each other.
13. Understanding of strategy and an ability to articulate the value of data products and solutions.
14. Excellent people and communication skills, including the ability to influence and effectively communicate with a wide variety of technical and non-technical colleagues.
15. Agile and innovative thinking; intellectually curious with a commitment to lead the team in continuous learning.
16. Experience using collaboration platforms such as Atlassian Jira & Confluence.
