We’re looking for an Assistant Company Secretary to support the delivery of an efficient and effective governance service across Hyde. Working as part of the Company Secretariat team and reporting to the Group Company Secretary, you’ll help ensure our Boards and Committees are well supported and operate in line with statutory, regulatory and best practice requirements.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to build experience in corporate governance within a large, complex organisation.
What you’ll be doing
* Support the delivery of a high-quality company secretarial service to Hyde Group Boards and Committees, ensuring meetings are properly organised and serviced.
* Assist with the preparation, coordination and timely circulation of Board and Committee papers, agendas and action logs.
* Provide administrative and governance support to Board and Committee members, helping them understand their roles and responsibilities.
* Attend meetings as required, taking accurate minutes, and follow-up of actions.
* Maintain company secretarial records, including registers of interests, member databases, and governance archives.
* Support the Group Company Secretary with routine governance matters including statutory and regulatory filings, and day-to-day activities.
What we’re looking for
* CGI (ICSA) qualified or sufficient progress working to complete it or a relevant qualification
* Experience in a company secretarial, governance or regulatory role
* Good understanding of corporate governance principles.
* Excellent minute taking and board support skills
* Solid understanding of the Companies Act 2006
* Clear communication, excellent attention to detail, and strong stakeholder engagement skills
* Experience working within multi-entity structures ideally in a regulated environment
* Exposure to charity or foundation governance
