We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Project Manager to support the delivery of high‑quality drug and alcohol treatment services in Gateshead, working with adults affected by substance use and a range of complex needs. This is a key leadership role within the service, supporting the Services Manager to ensure safe, effective and person‑centred delivery across treatment and recovery pathways. You will play a vital role in supporting staff, maintaining quality standards, strengthening partnership working and ensuring that people accessing our services receive compassionate, trauma‑informed support. About the Role: Lead on the development of the service to provide easily accessible, non-judgemental, and confidential services, which support service users in working to towards the goal of recovery. Lead on the development of the service including harm reduction, outreach, and harm reduction. Manage and coordinate the activities of programmes, including overall management of the staff team, sessional workers, and volunteers, so that the service runs efficiently and effectively, making the best possible use of financial and human resources. Provide line management, supervision, and leadership to achieve performance outcomes in line with service level and contractual arrangements. Ensure that constructive, positive, and supportive relationships are maintained with relevant partners, user representatives’ groups, advisory groups, and committees. Ensure the Service runs within allocated budgets. Ensure effective performance management through data collection, reporting and analysis. About you: Considerable experience of working at a management level within substance misuse services with a clear understanding of the need for and ability to deliver quality services. A demonstrable understanding of performance management frameworks, effective governance, and quality management. Knowledge and understanding of the possible recovery pathways available across whole treatment and recovery systems including community, residential and Prison provision. Experience of managing project development and leading a service operation. Experience of staff supervision and appraisal. Well-developed leadership skills. Experience of data collection systems, information technology. Experience that demonstrates administrative and financial management skills. Possess, or be working towards a recognised qualification in health, social care, or management.
