Are you a commercially minded Buyer who enjoys analysing markets, building supplier relationships and making strategic purchasing decisions?
We’re recruiting for a Commercial Buyer to join a growing organisation operating within a regulated environmental market. This is not a traditional “raise a PO” purchasing role. Instead, you’ll be managing supply in a live, often volatile market — balancing cost, compliance and commercial risk.
It’s ideal for someone who enjoys market dynamics, forecasting and negotiation, and wants a role with genuine commercial influence.
The Role
As Commercial Buyer, you will:
Develop and execute buying strategies across multiple material streams
Monitor market pricing trends, availability and volatility
Forecast demand based on client data and regulatory obligations
Manage purchasing exposure across quarterly and annual cycles
Negotiate pricing, volumes and contractual terms with accredited suppliers
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
Conduct supplier due diligence and performance reviews
Produce reports on cost, coverage and risk exposure
Support internal compliance and audit requirements You’ll play a key role in ensuring sufficient supply coverage while managing cost and risk in a regulated environment.
About You

Procurement or buying
Commodities or trading
A commercially analytical supply chain role We’re looking for someone who:
Has strong negotiation and supplier management skills
Is confident analysing data and forecasting demand
Understands commercial risk and market exposure
Has high attention to detail and strong record-keeping ability
Is calm and commercially focused in changing markets Experience within a regulated or compliance-driven sector would be advantageous, but not essential.

Hours: 9am – 5pm Monday – Friday
Remote working with occasional office visits
Holiday: 20 days (excluding bank holidays), rising to 25 days per year with service
