About the Role
An established and well-regarded high street law firm in Chelmsford is seeking a Civil Litigation Solicitor to join its growing dispute resolution team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated solicitor to handle a varied caseload while contributing to the continued development of the department.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters from instruction through to resolution
* Handling disputes including (but not limited to) property litigation, contractual disputes, debt recovery, and general civil matters
* Conducting legal research and providing clear, practical advice to clients
* Drafting legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence
* Representing clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings where appropriate
* Maintaining strong client relationships and delivering high standards of client care
* Supporting business development and networking initiatives
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (NQ–5 PQE, though all levels will be considered)
* Solid experience in civil litigation with the ability to manage cases independently
* Strong advocacy, negotiation, and communication skills
* Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to case management
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* A client-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering quality service
