Salary: £35,000 - 68,000 per year Requirements: 5 years experience in PLC software design within industrial or automation environments Experience with Codesys and real-time system debugging Ability to design complex control architectures involving multiple PLCs, sensors, and actuators HND (or equivalent) in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or related discipline Proven experience in automation system design Responsibilities: Lead the full PLC software development lifecycle, including designing, programming, integrating, and optimising automation systems for specialist aviation ground support vehicles Work closely with electrical and mechanical teams to deliver reliable, high-performance control systems Mentor engineers and drive technical excellence within the team Design, program, and configure PLC systems in line with IEC 61131-3 standards Integrate PLCs with wider control systems including HMI interfaces and telematics Debug, test, and optimise control logic to enhance system performance and reliability Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards and maintain safety interlocks and backups Technologies: CODESYS Support PLC Hardware Mobile More: We are a globally recognised aviation ground support equipment manufacturer located in Dungannon, Northern Ireland.
