Join us as our Learning Designer (with learning delivery) and help us to design and deliver learning experiences that help everyone at Mencap to learn and grow.
The role is full-time (37.5 hours a week) on a permanent basis and is home based, as most of your role will be in learning design.
You must also be willing and have the ability to travel in the south of England (for example London, West Sussex, Hampshire and Wiltshire). This will be to deliver a portfolio of face-to-face workshops for colleagues in Personal Support, about six days per month.
There may also be infrequent national travel to attend meetings and other events.
About the role:
For us – learning experience design looks at how people learn, not just what they learn. It is person-centred, evidence-based and outcome-focused.
As part of the learning experience team, you will:
1. Design engaging and effective learning that aligns with Mencap's strategic goals and activities, using design thinking and user experience principles.
2. Collaborate with colleagues to create a range of learning content and pathways (including digital, face to face and virtual).
3. Gather feedback and use insight to inform decision making, design, continuous improvement and evaluation.
4. Deliver a portfolio of Support Worker induction and practice development workshops that engage, inspire and enable our colleagues to provide high quality support.
5. Help nurture a values-led culture of belonging and continuous learning through what you design and how you work with others.
About you:

6. Experience of designing and delivering learning that has had an impact (including digital, face to face and virtual).
7. Strong design skills using Microsoft, Adobe and eLearning authoring tools (preferably Articulate ).
8. Person-centred, impact-led and evidence-based ways of working.
9. Highly effective communication, project management and visual design skills.
10. An understanding of modern learning management systems and how to get the most of technology to support learning.
