The role
Salary: £27,000 - 27,000 per year Requirements: We are looking for an IT graduate with a 2:1 degree or better. We would ideally like some understanding of databases, such as Oracle or SQL. We would like knowledge of Unix/Linux and some shell scripting experience. We would ideally like knowledge of logistics systems, along with some systems analysis and application support experience. We would like experience with report-writing tools such as iReports or Jaspersoft Studio. We need excellent communication skills and previous experience in a customer-facing technical service desk environment. A full UK driving licence is essential, as occasional travel to other sites may be required. Responsibilities: We will ask you to provide 2nd line support for logistics systems. We will have you learn our business processes and technical applications and tools. We will expect you to liaise with stakeholders to gather requirements for change. We will have you develop and maintain Unix shell scripts. We will ask you to integrate internal and external systems. We will expect you to produce logistics systems reports for stakeholders and document system changes in line with our company standards. We will have you work closely with senior team members to resolve issues and escalate tickets when needed.
