Job Description
As a Solution Architect for Manufacturing, you will be expected to work alongside the Sales teams and the Business Architects to understand prospect and customer business and functional objectives, along with the “As-is” and “To-be” state of the organization in order to provide a functional product solution and demonstrate it back where needed.
Customer facing IFS presentations should ensure the knowledge and delivery of the value and technical solution customers expect. Expectations for Solution architects are as follows:
1. Participate in internal and customer/prospect facing product presentations and demonstrations.
2. Provide answers to technical questions in a Request for Information (RFI) or a Request for Proposal (RFP).
3. Assist with technical qualification of sales opportunities.
4. Expert knowledge of specific IFS products, industries and services for your area’s expertise.
5. Build custom end-to-end demonstrations aligned with customers’/prospect key business initiatives.
6. Ensure the successful delivery of Proof of Value tied to the customers’ success criteria and business initiatives.
7. Translate technical and business needs into a customer focused value-centric solution.
8. Maintain a high level of knowledge of all products and services including roadmaps and regular liaison with Product Management.
9. Use the knowledge of the major customers’ needs to provide and/or propose commercially viable product/solution improvement feedback of large and complex customer requirements – involving senior management where needed
10. Work with enterprise level prospects and clients and be prepared to question them to cover a complete architecture, including integration of IFS into a wider environment
11. Comprehend and demonstrate the key metrics, KPI’s and business drivers for the IFS Industries.
12. Working with the sales organization to address technical needs for the customers
13. Ensure discipline of excellence and passion to every customer engagement
14. Assist at external and internal customer facing events
15. Always be considering ways to develop or improve key strategic initiatives to enhance our go to market.
Qualifications
16. University education, equivalent professional qualifications or appropriate work history
17. Deep knowledge of solution development, presenting software applications and business process mapping at a senior level
18. Proven history working with Enterprise Resource Planning software or equivalent
19. Strong verbal and written communication and planning skills
20. Comfortable working across multiple functions and geographical locations in a deadline-motivated environment.
21. Fluency in English (verbal and written)
22. A willingness to travel – nationally and internationally as requested
A Pre-Sales Solution Architect for Manufacturing, would be expected to have very good knowledge of the following areas:
23. Proven knowledge in the Manufacturing Industry.
24. Understanding of key manufacturing industry trends and AI adoption patterns relevant to industrial and enterprise contexts.
25. Proven track record in positioning and delivering complex, enterprise-level solutions that unlock measurable business value.
26. Developing solutions to deliver customer facing demonstrations and presentations focused on the key IFS and customer value messaging.
27. End-to-end business process and business practices including process and solution mapping.
28. Knowledge of IFS products and processes, with a focus on the IFS processes related to the manufacturing industry.
29. Dedication to self-learning and regular training.
