Techniche Global are supporting a specialist print production manufacturer in Dagenham with the appointment of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical bias) to join their on-site engineering team.
This role focuses heavily on mechanical maintenance, repairs and fault-finding across high-speed printing and finishing machinery, while still requiring good electrical awareness.
What You’ll Do
Deliver PPM and mechanical maintenance across production machinery
Diagnose and repair faults on print/finishing equipment (motors, belts, pulleys, bearings, shafts, sensors, rollers etc.)
Respond quickly to breakdowns to keep production uptime high
Support machine improvements, upgrades and reliability engineering
Manage spare parts, liaise with contractors/suppliers and maintain accurate maintenance logs
Ensure safe working practices and adherence to HSE standards What You’ll Need
Strong mechanical engineering background with multi-skilled capability
Mechanical qualifications (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, ONC/HNC, City & Guilds or similar)
Confident mechanical fault-finding & strip/repair skills in a fast-paced environment
Basic electrical understanding (advantageous)
Print industry or high-speed production experience is a plus, not essential
