Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP) are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated Band 5 Staff Nurse to join the team at Ancora House. Ancora House is an in‑patient child and adolescent mental health service, consisting of 30 beds, split across two wards: Coral and Indigo.

* Position: Staff Nurse
* Grade: Band 5
* Contract: Permanent, Full time – 37.5 hours per week
* Site: Ancora House, Countess of Chester Health Park, 1.5 miles from Chester city centre
* Salary: £31,049 – £37,796 per annum pro rata, yearly

Responsibilities
You will be part of a supportive and knowledgeable multi‑disciplinary team, working on a rotational shift basis, including days, nights and twilight shifts. The post offers an exciting opportunity to join this team in providing the highest quality of care for our service users. We have an excellent training programme and preceptorship programme. The individual must be able to demonstrate an understanding and application of the 6 C's in practice: Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage and Commitment.
Qualifications
* UK professional registration (RMN/RNLD or equivalent)
* First level nurse qualification
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Well‑developed research‑based knowledge and practical nursing skills
* Basic management principles – the post will involve taking charge of the service occasionally
* Ability to work unsupervised
* Positive approach to information technology
* 1st level mental health trained nurse, up to date knowledge of current mental health legislation
* Experience working with adults with a learning disability (mandatory)
Desirable Criteria
* Experience working in a mental health setting
* Experience carrying out clinical supervision

Applicants must have a relevant UK professional registration and comply with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. A DBS check is required; the DBS update service is available for a small annual fee of £16.
