Behaviour Specialist
A mainstream primary school in Liverpool is seeking a Behaviour Specialist to support pupils with complex behavioural needs. This role demands resilience, initiative, and a deep commitment to helping young people re‑engage with learning.
What you’ll be doing:
* Supporting pupils with SEMH needs, trauma, and challenging behaviours
* Leading de‑escalation, regulation, and restorative strategies
* Working closely with teaching staff to create a safe, structured environment
* Building trust and consistency through clear boundaries and positive relationships
What we’re looking for:
* Experience in PRUs, SEMH schools, or youth work settings
* Confidence in managing behaviour and promoting emotional regulation
* A proactive, solution‑focused mindset and strong team ethic
* Ability to stay calm, consistent, and compassionate in high‑pressure situations
