This is a business that has built its reputation on getting things right.THE ROLEAs Quality Engineer, you will lead the investigation and resolution of quality problems across the production environment. Working within the Quality department, you will own the root cause analysis process, support ISO9001 certification, and deliver regular reporting to senior management. This is a role for someone who can work independently, drive improvement, and build trust with colleagues across the business.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOINGYou'll:Lead problem solving teams through root cause identification using 8D and 5Y methodologiesConduct internal audits in line with the scheduled audit programmeInvestigate defect trends and drive corrective and preventative actions to completionChampion the retention of ISO9001 certification across the businessReport to senior management on quality performance, processes, and improvement activityResolve quality issues at pace, working collaboratively with production and engineering teamsSupport the implementation of quality system improvements including DFMEA, PFMEA, and PPAPWHAT YOU'LL BRINGEssential:Proven experience in a Quality Engineer or similar quality role within a manufacturing environmentSolid working knowledge of quality methodologies including 8D, 5Y, Lean, Six Sigma, DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAPExperience with internal auditing and ISO9001 quality systemsDegree qualified in a relevant engineering or technical discipline, or equivalent experience (minimum 4 years)Current, valid driving licence (European travel required occasionally)Useful, not essential:CMM inspection or CMM programming experienceExposure to aerospace quality standards such as EN9100Familiarity with project management tools or methodologiesExperience sourcing quality improvements in a precision machining or automation environmentBENEFITS AND CULTURE£33,000–£35,000 basic salary25 days holiday per annum, plus bank holidaysCompany contribution pensionHealthcare cashback schemeDiscounts with local shops and servicesDiscounts at many major retailers including Argos, Currys, Halfords, Tesco, Sainsburys and Morrisons to name but a fewFree on-site parkingCareer progression opportunitiesContinued professional learning and developmentRecommend a friend schemeDeath in service after qualifying periodMental health supportFinancial wellness supportLong service awardsSeasonal events organised by HepcoMotion's social committeeWORKING ARRANGEMENTSLocation: Tiverton, Devon — site-basedContract: Permanent | Full-time | 39 hours per weekHours: Monday to Thursday 7:00am–4:00pm | Friday 7:00am–12:00pmTravel: Valid driving licence required.
