How would you like to work as part of a high performing Health Visiting Service in the beautiful county of Buckinghamshire?
There is currently an exciting opportunity to join the Health Visiting team based at Brookside Clinic, Aylesbury.

We support Champions in areas such as – Breastfeeding, Solihull Approach, Domestic Abuse, Perinatal Mental Health and CONI. The Health Visiting service has successfully achieved BFI stage 3 accreditation and we are proud to offer a high standard of breastfeeding support to our families.

Main duties of the job

You will be leading the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme as part of a team that includes Community Staff Nurses and Community Nursery Nurses with support from experienced Locality Leads.

You must be a registered SCPHN (Health Visiting) with current NMC registration.

Person specification

Education, Qualifications & Training

* Specialist Community Public Health Nurse Health Visiting - Cert/Diploma/Degree
* Leadership training
* Nurse Prescribing Qualification

Skills, Abilities & Knowledge

* Can demonstrate a high level of interpersonal and communication skills With the ability to negotiate compromises and resolve conflict between staff amicably’ Courteous with all customers, both internal and external’ Clear, concise verbal and written communication to ensure liaison with multidisciplinary team, patients and carers and to ensure records are kept accurately and in a legible manner’
* Mentoring and supervision skills
* Prioritisation of own and delegation of others work
* Ability to write detailed reports on client care to ensure interpretation by other members of the team for complete and safe care of the client.
* Organisational and time management skills

Experience

Special circumstances

* Ability to travel to various community sites daily

PPE requirements:Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust requires all colleagues to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with our infection prevention and control procedures.

COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations remain the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course our patients from the viruses when working in our healthcare settings. We encourage our staff to be vaccinated when recommended.
